Licensing Agreement, Digital Product Terms & Refund Policy
Thank you for purchasing from Vertical Drama Scripts (“we” / “our” / “us”) at www.verticaldramascripts.com (the “Site”). By accessing, purchasing, downloading, or using any script from this Site, you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below.
This page constitutes our Licensing Agreement, Digital Product Terms, and Refund Policy.
1. Nature of Products – Digital Licensing
All scripts sold on this Site are digital products delivered via secure download and are licensed, not sold as physical goods. By purchasing a script you are purchasing a licence to use the script under the terms specified at the time of purchase (Non-Exclusive Licence or Exclusive Rights Purchase).
Ownership of the intellectual property is governed strictly by the selected licence tier and accompanying licence agreement provided with the download.
2. Licence Types (Summary)
2.1 Non-Exclusive Production Licence
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, standard script purchases are granted under a Non-Exclusive Production Licence.
Under this licence:
- You may produce one audiovisual adaptation of the script
- Minor modifications (names, dialogue, localisation) are permitted
- The underlying story, characters, and intellectual property remain owned by the author
- Sequels, spin-offs, remakes, or expanded universe content require a new licence or written agreement
You may engage writers, directors, or production teams to adapt the script for production purposes.
2.2 Exclusive Rights Purchase
If a script is purchased under an Exclusive Rights listing:
- Exclusive worldwide production and adaptation rights are assigned to the purchaser
- Unlimited productions, sequels, spin-offs, and derivative works are permitted
- The script will no longer be offered for non-exclusive licensing after the exclusive purchase
The original author retains moral authorship rights and credit requirements
3. Author Credit (Mandatory)
All productions created from scripts purchased on this Site must include appropriate author credit. Required credit format:
“Story by [Author Name]” (or equivalent industry-standard credit)
Where applicable, the purchaser agrees to credit the author on IMDb (or equivalent industry database) as the original story creator. Failure to provide reasonable credit constitutes a breach of the licensing terms.
4. Restrictions on Use & Redistribution
Purchasers may NOT:
- Resell the script file as a standalone literary product
- Redistribute, share, or upload the script publicly
- List the script on marketplaces for resale
- Claim authorship of the original script
- Use the script as training data for AI or automated script generation systems
The purchased script file is for internal production use only.
5. Digital Products Are Non-Refundable
All scripts sold on this Site are digital downloads. By purchasing a script:
- You agree that all sales are final
- Refunds and returns are not available once a purchase has been completed
- Digital products cannot be returned once accessed or downloaded
Due to the instant-access nature of digital files, refunds are not provided for:
- Change of mind
- Misunderstanding of licence type
- Creative preference
- Production outcomes
6. Download Access & Responsibility
Upon completing your purchase:
- You will receive an email with a secure download link.
- Download access will also be available via your account dashboard.
- You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your purchased files.
We are not responsible for lost files due to failure to download or store files appropriately after delivery.

7. Errors or Technical Issues
We take every effort to ensure that your scripts are delivered correctly. If you experience:
- Corrupted files
- Broken download links
- Other technical issues
Please contact us at support (at) verticaldramascripts.com within 7 days of purchase. Where verified, we will provide a replacement download link where necessary.
Note: This does not constitute a refund — only a replacement download.
8. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Purchases
If you believe your purchase was made fraudulently or without your consent:
- Please contact your payment provider immediately.
- We may assist with verifying the purchase, but all valid digital downloads are considered final.
All valid digital downloads that have been accessed remain non-refundable.
9. No Revisions, Custom Writing, or Consultation
All scripts are sold “as-is” and production-ready. Purchases do NOT include:
- Script rewrites
- Custom edits
- Consultation services
- Production support
- Revision requests
Any additional services must be arranged under a separate written agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vertical Drama Scripts shall not be liable for:
- Production costs or losses
- Platform rejection (including streaming apps)
- Distribution outcomes
- Audience performance
- Commercial success of any production
Scripts are provided as creative works without guarantees of market performance or platform acceptance.
11. Account Use & Digital Tracking
Purchases are linked to registered user accounts.
By purchasing, you acknowledge that:
- Purchase records may be retained for licensing verification
- Download activity may be logged for anti-piracy and compliance purposes.
12. International Purchases
Our scripts are sold worldwide as digital licences.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local production, copyright, and distribution laws in their jurisdiction.
13. Acceptance of Licensing Terms at Checkout
By completing a purchase on this Site, you confirm that:
- You have read and accepted the applicable Licensing Agreement
- You understand the difference between Non-Exclusive and Exclusive rights
- You acknowledge that all digital script sales are final
- You agree to the usage restrictions outlined on this page and within the downloaded licence agreement
This acceptance is recorded at checkout and forms a legally binding agreement.
14. Governing Law
This Agreement and all purchases made through this Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
